Brookwood Children's Drama
Letter from LAMDA - The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art
16th October 2006
Dear Mrs Craven,
I am writing to update you with important news. We have received formal confirmation from UCAS that our Advanced Level Graded Speech and Drama examinations have been included in the UCAS Tariff, and covers all of our examinations which are accredited by the National Qualifications Framework at Level 3.The allocation of Tariff points will come into effect for entry to Higher Education from 2008 onwards. Students who take the Grade 6 (Bronze Medal), 7 (Silver Medal) or 8 (Gold Medal) exams, will be eligible for between 20 and 65 points, dependent on the grade and their own personal attainment within that grade.
We are naturally delighted by this news which adds further prestige for candidates taking examinations at Advanced Level. Our inclusion in the Tariff will help thousands of young people applying to university to get one step closer to reaching their goal.
With best wishes for a successful and enjoyable Autumn term.
Yours sincerely,Acting Head of Examinations
